Renew My Church
Cardinal Blase Cupich announced the Renew My Church (RMC) parish groupings last weekend. We're looking forward to working with our partner parishes, Queen of All Saints and Saint Mary of the Woods, to bring new vitality to our mission, and sustain our communities for generations of Catholics yet to come. More news on the RMC initiative coming soon.

Our warm weather has of course brought thoughts of baseball; did you know Babe Ruth credited his storied (and colorful) career to his roots in Catholic education? Father James shares more in his Tassel of the Cloak in next Sunday's bulletin but if you can't wait for that, it's batter-up right here.

An Equestrian for Everyman
Visit our 2016 National Blue Ribbon school on January 29 from 12-2
From Letters from a Pastor to his Parishioners:
On January 25th we celebrate ‘The Conversion of Saint Paul the Apostle.’ Perhaps you're familiar with the story of how Paul (the saint FKA Saul) fell off his horse on the road to Damascus? (No? Check out Acts 9:1-22) If discipleship does not come easy for you and if your faith brings you on hard times or makes you unpopular, then St. Paul is your man. Thank you, Paul, for getting up off your horse and following Jesus Christ.

The Traveler is Home
Rest in Peace, Rev. Donald J. Ahearn
With gratitude for the efforts of choir member Jim Gregie, we captured the audio from Father Ahearn's funeral mass and several excerpts have been posted on our website. The beautiful music of our choirs, Andy Lidgus, Bob Ryan, the Shannon Rovers, and Mark Teresi, as well as Father Scott's reverent homily, contributed to a wonderful celebration of the “Good Man” we knew and loved for so many years. Please share with those who were not able to attend or would enjoy an encore.
